File this story under FPS warfare...
Earlier this week, Infinity Ward, creators of the wildly popular Modern Warfare 2, started an ad campaign pertaining to 'mapathy.' The image is shown above, but basically it's a spoof advertisement that describes their new map pack that is coming out on March 30th. This map pack that is being released by IW is getting a lot of criticism since in the past they have just unlocked maps that were previously...

Yesterday, Sony released a whole bunch of details surrounding their upcoming motion controller, from here on out named "Playstation Move." Sony released details on the new product at the Game Developers Conference yesterday and confirmed that it will be available this year in three different packages, alone, with the Playstation Eye, or bundled with a PS3. Price details haven't emerged yet, but one thing that is known is that to buy the motion controller...

As most of you know, I'm from Baltimore, MD. I live in the county, but used to live in the city. When I did live in the city, we had a mayor named Sheila Dixon. She made national news a couple months ago when a story broke that she stole gift cards that were intended for poor people to buy stuff for herself. Baltimore citizens HATE her now and she is out of office thankfully, replaced by a younger mayor that is already winning the hearts of her...

It's that time again...the time when I check the pulse of the Xbox Live gaming world. This is usually done about once a month to see what gamers are playing on the Xbox Live network. Sometimes we'll see a new game, but primarily a couple always stay at the top. Those couple? Halo followed by Modern Warfare followed by some old Moder Warfare's and Call of Duty games. This time though, it looks like Modern Warfare has taken the lead. Check out the full list...

Final Fantasy XIII comes out in the states this Tuesday the 9th and people are already comparing the two different versions, the 360 and the PS3. Normally, Final Fantasy games are Sony exclusives so for this to be coming out on the 360 this generation as well as the PS3 is a really big deal. Every console game that comes out has people comparing the two versions and most of the time it's no big deal, but I think you might want to hear about the differences between these two ...

Ten years ago today, on March 4th, 2000, the PS2 was released to the Japanese gaming community. A couple months later on October 26th, North Americans received it. While it may have had some initial issues out of the gate trying to compete with the mighty Dreamcast, it quickly stole the show when the Dreamcast fell out of the race. 10 years later, games are still coming out for the PS2 and it's still selling amazingly. Without a doubt, the PS2 is on everyone's top 5 list of best consoles...

If you've been following my front page posts, you undoubtedly know about what happened between Infinity Ward and Activision earlier this week. Well, some time has passed and the dust is settling and things seem just as screwed up as they were then. In my previous post, I told you all about Activision firing the two top heads of Infinity Ward,...

In case you haven't been checking out the major news outlets today, Infinity Ward, creators of the Modern Warfare series, have been making headlines. G4 announced yesterday that the two top men at the company, Vince Campella and Jason West, had met with Activision bosses. After the meeting, some "bouncer type people" showed up at the front door and the two weren't seen from again. This is typical in corporate America. When you are...
