Default The Return

I haven't posted on these forums in quite a while. I was never quite active anyway and most of you probably don't remember me. So I guess I can just introduce myself.

I'm a communist that lives in Texas. I'm a sophomore in high school and live a pretty isolated life. (It's awesome)

I have an Xbox 306 "Elite", a PlayStation3, a PlayStation 2, a laptop, a GameBoy Advanced, and a Gamecube. Though the Gamecube is currently at a friends house.

My favorite type of games are sandbox and strategy. I also enjoy shoot-em-ups and the occasional sneak/spy type of games.

My top five most favorite games of all time are
1.) Starcraft
2.) Rome: Total War
3.) Left4Dead
4.) Civilization 4
5.) GrandTheftAuto

I'm genearly terrible at video games, but practice makes perfect! Anyway, if you have any questions; feel free to keep them to yourself.

Sure, I remember you. The commie (I say that lovingly because I enjoyed our disagreements

Welcome back to the forums. Glad to have ya.

Question for you - were you raise by a Russian family that subscribes to the communist beliefs, did you read about communism and realize you liked it, or something else? I'm curious why someone in America would think communism would be a viable option after how miserably it failed in some places.

Good question. I was actually thinking the same thing but didn't want to bombard.

Also curious if you ever read Animal Farm. Amazing book. Before I read it, I couldn't really see why Communism wouldn't work (I was young). After reading it though, I understood. In theory it sounds good, especially for some under privileged nations, but in practice, not so much.

Exactly its a Eutopia and as long as everybody plays by the rules its beautiful. That also goes against human nature though, not everyone wants the same things or to be the same thing. Human instincts is to be the best not like your neighbor but better.

Yes, a terrible leader (Napoleon) ended up doing terrible things. Shocking.

I am not Russian. I just like the idea of social and economic equality. That everybody pitches in for the better of the community. This ideology that you should ultimately look out for yourself above all the rest sickens me. I am not a "hardcore" communist bent on destroying capitalism. I like money just as much as the next guy and being forced to pay way more taxes than the rest just because you are successful is bullsh!t.

Communism fails because the evils of human nature won't tolerate it. But as once said in a karate movie - "Not all goals are meant to be reached, just aimed for."

Welcome back to the forums, you'll fit in nicely.

And just because I think Buddhism is a good practice doesn't make me a Buddhist. Just like I don't think you are a "communist", just a sophmore high school kid who read a US Government book and when you got to the communist section thought, hey that sounds cool...maybe I'll go against the general consensus and think outside the box. The reason I think this...because you take joy in being a loner. You rebel against the norms of society because you feel you don't fit in. Judging by your conduct on a forum with people who respectfully asked you about your views on government, you have issues with dealing with emotions and/or people. I think the communist thing is bullshit and you just use it as a wall to throw people off and keep them away from you. You're using the old USSR flag as your icon, which has nothing to do with communism. Sure, the government was communist, but the flag didn't stand for communism. Again, it's bullshit.

So, loathe away buddy, you got a lot to learn about life. If you want to stick around the forums, be our guest, we're a bunch of mature gamers who talk about games. Leave

I JUST GOT TOTALLY PWNED BY VA1N ON THE INTERNET!

I have the USSR symbol as my avatar because it matches my username and I just think it looks cool.

If my posts made me come off as a rebellious brat, then I apologize. I was trying to make funnies with "Isolationism, Its awesome!" and "I loathe you all".

The basics of communism such as community and sharing really have a grip on me. I try to live by such an ideology when I can. I still abide and trust in my nation's laws. I too also like having nice things.

But its true, I am still young and have plenty to learn. My personal views on things have changed throughout the years and will probably continue to change as I grow up; and that is perfectly acceptable by me. I do my best to keep an open mind and seek self-improvement.

Perhaps we just started out on the wrong foot. You seem like a pretty straightforward guy , so maybe we could start a new?
