no way not after the crap with vista, I recently downgraded mine to xp professional because every week no joke it got slower and slower then the automatic updates completely stopped working so before i threw my laptop out the window i opted with xp

Vista is safer than XP. The stories about vista being bad was because people didn't know how to use vista right. Just like in XP, vista had some(actually a whole bunch) problems when it first came out but updates fixed that. I have vista 64 bit and it works great, way better than XP in my opinion.

Hey I have been playing with the Windows Seven RC and In my opinion it blows vista out of the water its significantly more efficient than vista and using less space. As long as when its released for retail its not 200+ dollars ill consider buying it.

Default Just upgraded from my Windows XP...
I now have Windows 7.

As far as I can tell, I LOVE IT.

Only one con... my computer hardware is 6 years old and my processor is considered slow now.

My computer at home uses Vista. I have had Vista since it came out with no issues whatsoever. A lot of our machines at work use Linux, so I am fluent in using it, but I would never use it at home. There's a reason Windows is popular.

Linux may not be as pretty and easy as Windows, but at least it's stable! I can't wait to try Windows 7. Still on XP here.

I can def. attest to that. Linux is very stable...it's also very secure with little to no trouble with security issues.
