Beer Club

So I just joined a beer club at work. I work for a dot com business and it's a very laid back place. Most departments have beer clubs where a couple people bring in a few 6 packs every Friday for everyone to drink and someone else does it each week. My club has 12 people so every 12 weeks I need to bring in 24 beers (2 per person about). Since I'm not the most seasoned beer drinker with my usual beer being either a Smithwick, Guinness Draught, or a Blue Moon...I need suggestions. Now, before you start yelling out Coors and Miller, here are the rules for the beer club...

1. Craft and/or imports only (no Coors Light, Miller Light, Bud, etc.)
2. No twist off caps
3. No cans (unless it's a draught like Guinness)

So, anyone have any beer suggestions? There are some crazy beers out there and before I go and buy any, I would like to see if there are any suggestions. Beers like Sam Adams count (considered a craft).

Newcastle
Sam Adams- any of the seasonal's are solid.
Sam Black Lager- the color of a stout but not heavy at all, more of a medium body- if that makes sense

I've tried a couple of the Sam Adams and like most of what I tried...all except for the one creamy one...can't think of what it's called. I wasn't a big fan of that one. I haven't had Newcastle, so I'll defintiely give that one a try. Thanks man.


Last Friday, I has a Guinness Draught and a Boont Amber Ale. The Guinness is one of my fav's so I knew I would like that. The Amber Ale was my first Amber Ale and it was actually pretty good. Not something I would drink daily, but good nonetheless.

Scotch drinker? Yeah, dani, I take it you're one of those dudes who sits down with a scotch on the rocks, a Hugh Hefner bathrobe, and a 360 controller for a nice night of Modern Warfare 2.

Nope just a good Bloody Mary. Take two shots Absolute Peppar, fresh ground pepper, a little tobassco, some lime juice, add V8 shake. Add a pickle spear if wanted enjoy.

I work at a dot com job. We are owned by AOL but we kept our dot com environment. I wear shorts in the summer, tennis shoes whenever...we have crab feasts and pub crawls in our entertainment room (basically each team brings in their favorite beers and you visit them and get free beer). It's a great environment. It's extremely difficult to get a job here because we are small and you have to know your shit...but if you get in, mainly out of college, you are rewarded...except when AOL has layoffs...but we drink more when layoffs are announced

Dogs used to be able to come to work. When AOL bought us though they changed the policy because of some health regulation. I'm a dog nut with my dog being like my son...I would love to bring Bauer to work with me but it looks like drinking beer is the best I can do. Oh, and one more clarification about the beer thing...we only drink on Fridays. While you could drink during the week, everyone only does it on Friday.
