This sucks for the person who got caught... but from the sounds of it, he was a complete idiot! HAHA

Anyways, it's a cool idea, but what are they going to do... every time they need to catch a criminal they're going to post images or videos on Facebook? Within a day there would be thousands of pictures and videos of people committing crimes lol... what would be the point of Facebook? (maybe I'm missing something here...)

Well the point is 90 million people would have access to the perps picture or video and help the cops identify and arrest the criminals...

In reality only the people that were friends with the "towns official police station facebook page" would probably see the pics and vids- but thats what they're looking for, local people to identify the local ciminals... Facebook already has billions of pictures, whats another million??? lol.

So like what are they going to do?? Add a seperate spot on their website for posting pictures and videos of criminals? Maybe sort it by state and then city...

No, facebook isn;t really doing anything for them, each invididual department does their own thing... They make a facebook page and add pictures to their photo albums and then wait for people to surf through the "wanted" album and then people could just shoot them a message or TAG THE CRIMINAL WITH THEIR NAME, lol. Obviously you can get false name tags but it may still help in the long run...

Also remember with facebook it sends out a news feed everytime one of your friends add pictures....

So it would say "Hartford Police department has added pictures to its "wanted" photo album"

Curious friends (hartford or surrounding residents probably) would click and check out wanted photos, videos from criminal acts, etc. They then could call or just shoot a message through facebook.
