Snow Sucks

Back in middle school, high school, and even college...I loved the snow. Snow meant days off. Nowadays, it means I'm going to be late for work, get snow in my shoes and have to shovel snow until my back aches. Ugh, I hate snow!

Checking online today, it looks like Maryland, namely Baltimore, is right in the middle of the "paralyze" zone in the graph below. We are supposed to get 16 to 24 inches.

As you can see in the image below, I'm screwed. I added a pointer to show you where Baltimore is.

So, I repeat again...I can't stand snow.

But snow is the best thing ever...

Then you turn 12 and your Dad gets you up at 4 in the morning because you don't have school so you can help clear the driveway. God pissed me off. I'm sorry your about to get shit on though from the map looks like I may get a little but not much. "Disruptive Snowfall" I only wish people here could drive in a 1/4" of snow without killing people.

People here are the same way. Unfortunately, I forgot to go to the grocery store yesterday and I have to go on the way home. Guarantee there will be no milk, eggs, toilet paper, paper towels, Kleenex, etc. etc. People go nuts if they hear snow. They think it's like a nuclear fallout and have to stock up on shit they wouldn't use if it wasn't snowing.

A notorious thing around here is that people buy SUV's thinking it will make them better drivers in the snow. Not so much. Just more dangerous drivers.

This is four wheel drive so if I hit ice at 70 I'll be fine.

What if you hit ice with all four wheels at once.

They're saying we're supposed to get some snow here in CT on Saturday, but it's not even Friday yet. I don't believe the weather until it's the night before, and even then it's still risky to believe their forecast!

I don't hate the snow, but I used to get excited for it. Now it's kinda just like, "urghhh snow...."

My fiance is a school teacher, so she loves the snow the same way a kid in school would love snow. When it snows, and they close schools, she gets a day off. The house gets cleaned...so I guess that's one reason why I should like snow.

And so it begins. Snow is coming down, albeit slowly at the moment, but it's coming. The sky is gray, temps dropping, yikes. Wish me luck...going to be a lot of gaming this weekend...hopefully the power doesn't go out.

Yeah I'm hoping power doesn't go out just because we have Electric heating at my APT. But there is already 6-7in here and growing bout to go home.

We're up to about 23 inches. What are you guys at? They just switched us over to a Blizzard warning last night...ugh. I'm not leaving this house anytime soon. A snow truck got stuck on our street yesterday. How is that even possible?
