i'm horrified of hornets and wasps. We get them every summer where I live.

To add another level of intrigue to the story and your guys answers...

Would you squish it if you knew that squishing a wasp would release a pheromone into the air that would attract every other wasp around you to draw in and attack to protect it's hive? That's why it's always better to just avoid a wasp then squish it.

When I moved into the house I live in now, my fiance and I were looking around our new shed (we never had one before) and out of the corner of my eye I see it. A big ass wasps nest. Well, like a little girl I booked it to the front of the house. I did research throughout the day. Honestly, it was like "Eye of the Tiger" was playing in the background as I prepared for the big fight that night. I ended up getting some spray and around midnight went out and lit the fuckers up! I hit them so hard they didn't know what hit them. They froze in place. Well, I went out the next day in the sunlight and knocked it off the shed, squishing some in the process. Even after the assholes are dead they still have that pheromone because there was another damn next behind the shed...and they weren't happy. Once again, I fled like a little girl into the house. I got their queen though one day...and victory was mine.

haha, sounds like a game. You pass the mini and you have to fight the real boss, nest with queen.
