Default Disc broken
I've had saints row 1 since the day it came out and i went to play it a few weeks back and the disc was purple ( no idea how ) and it will work for a short while then freeze all the time.

any suggestions what i could do to make it "better" ? t

Turned purple? It might be history... did you leave it out in extreme heat or something?

Is it at all scratched? It's possible you may be able to fix it (or make it better) if it was scratched at all. There are a few tricks.

no scratches atall, and its been in a draw which isn't exposed to heat, the disc is just purple- very odd

Default
. Check if the game is on the Disk Replacement Program list from xbox.com because if it is, you should fill out the form to get your disk replaced. And NO it is not free but not high or moderate either.

. Use a damp cloth and slowly/gentley clean the disk in a circular motion(trust me sometimes this works).

. Buy a new game

yeah was in its case, and i usually use a damp cloth once in a while on all my games, because it works a treat, good for cleaning the dirt of them

What's the tricks? because my little brother scratched up my GTA IV within the first 7 days I got it.

If it doesn't work the first time, try it a second or third time. The toothpaste trick sometimes doesn't work on the first try.
