| The Xbox 360 is the second video game console produced by Microsoft, and the successor to the Xbox. The Xbox 360 competes with Sony's PlayStation 3 and Nintendo's Wii as part of the seventh generation of video game consoles. |

I am looking at buying a wireless router for the house. My current internet connection is downstairs and my Xbox is upstairs in my room. I was thinking of using my laptop to receive the wireless internet and then connect my Xbox to the laptop. I searched online for awhile and found many different wireless routers are available in the market to choose from. I also found discounts on wireless routers at Dealrocker.com and NexTag.com. Can anyone recommend me the best wireless router to play live?
Thanks in advance. |

Hi and welcome to the site. There is a thread already on this that I started when I joined about a year ago.
http://www.gamersthrone.com/forum/s146/wireless-routers-23049 I would go with anything that has a wireless rating of N the 360 only needs a G I believe but the new gen will be coming out within the next 2-3 yrs and with the different routers being close in price spend 5 dollars to upgrade. About routing it through your laptop I don't think that works real well I know it can be done if you change some settings but I read it lags something terrible. And if you find you can't go the laptop route, buy the linksys gaming again its N rated and the xbox adaptor is G but the range is also substantially better. Good luck and keep us up to date. |
