Default Wireless Routers

I was wondering if anybody could help me find a router. I have decided its time to go wireless the only problem is I have no idea what router to get and there are many to pick from and many specs that I don't know if I need. First off I want it to be able to still have my desktop wired but I need it to support my gaming systems (xbox 360 & Wii), While supporting my laptop also can you help.

Hi danimoose, and welcome to GamersThrone

This router here will get the job done for what you are looking for! This has Ethernet ports on the back of it that allow you to use a wired connection, so you can plug your desktop PC into one of those and keep it wired. But it's also a wireless router, so you can connect as many wireless devices to it as you want!

Please note: You will have to buy wireless adapters for the Xbox 360 and probably the Wii. Not sure about the Wii, but you'll definitely need a wireless adapter for the 360.

Hope this helps.

Let me know if you have anymore questions!

Just get a wireless n router. http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage....=1173577562535

This is a really cheap wireless N router(with 8 ports in all so you can connect your computer to the router for a wired connection). Wireless N routers are better than any wireless a,b or g router. Plus this router is on sale. Since this router will get you the fastest speed possible for any wireless devise, your xbox will not lag. When your router is working, you should (but dont have to) get http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage....=1197679244403

Connect this to any gaming system and you'll be ready.

Thank you guys for the insight I ordered the D-link just a little bit ago. I do have another question though the Linksys gaming adaptor will that work better or as well as the wireless network adaptor made for the xbox360 because its 20 bucks cheaper and I know the Wii has the Wifi built in.

You probably wouldn't even notice the difference between the two. Personally, I would get the Linksys adapter, but that's up to you. I have heard mixed reviews were people said the Linksys gaming adapter lost connection a lot and other people have said it works perfectly fine. As long as you're not really far away from the router, you shouldn't have any issues either way

The adapter I showed you is wireless N. It will receive better signal than the xbox adapter. Since you are getting the D-link wireless N router, you should also get the linksys wireless N adapter because wireless G can't reach the speeds that wireless N can.

Tell me the speed of the computer that is connected to your modem. Then I will tell you which adapter you will benifit more from.

First I try and pick out a nice romantic comedy that is subtle but she hasn't seen for a while. You have to make sure the lighting is just right enough to not seem creepy but not to much to ruin the moment usually the T.V. plus a low wattage lamp do a great job by themselves. Always sit down first and get comfortable then get her comfortable leaning on you. LOL

I hooked up the wireless router, it works great, last night still waiting for the adapter.
