Default Interested in buying MacBook! Need Mac insight

I'm looking to buy a MacBook for the new school year.
It'll mostly be used for school, youtube, and some games.

Memory and Ghz, I guess is key because I've heard people constantly babble on how the more the better.

Let me know anything on Macs. I've used dell, gateway, and eMachine.

Ohhhh yeah. If you go Mac, you're going to be spending big bucks. Growing up around technology and computer programming and the like, I have a hatred of macs mainly because I have to, lest I'll be shunned by my peers. PC's are my thing. Wouldn't even know how to function on a Mac...but everyone knows they are big bucks for the decent ones...insane amount for the good ones. The amount you would spend on a decent mac would get you a top notch PC.

That's my thinking but I need it for school during lecture and all. As of right now I have a Dell PC and a laptop. The laptop is blah... but it wouldn't withstand school. I'm using it as casual mess around.

Well im a Graphic Design student so I Love macs

and yes they're pretty expensive, if u just want it for school go for the laptop that is not the Pro because the Pro one is even more expensive, great when u have to be working on a lot of programs at the same time.

It really doesn't matter what you get, the more money you invest into something, the better quality it is going to have.

The PC guys always make fun of the graphic design students and their macs, lol.

Honestly, if you are in graphic design, get a Mac. They'll laugh you out of the school if you have a PC. Otherwise, get a PC. Macs are a necessity for graphics design, a luxury for everything else.

well any mac u get will be fast, its wat they r known for plus extreme ease of use, im interested in taking graphic design and i already mess around in photoshop, i hav a mac and it runs so smoothly on it
PC's are slow and get thousands of virus' which make them slower, macs = no virus'

you can get the year old white 13 inch macbook for a little under $1000, im kinda an apple expert, i personally hav a desktop b/c i wanted more space and power but if u turn to the macbook pros u can get similar power but its gunna cost u, and if anythin goes bad with ur computer apple has AWESOME customer care unlike most PC companies
