I watch all of my movies from Netflix so this doesn't bother me as much, but I wanted to see what you guys think. It's interesting none the less.

Yeah I love the netflix but the stuppid previews on a DVD are retarded I hate trying to time the menu button just right to jump straight to it.

Companies seriously are pushing people further and further away from their products. When DVDs first came out, it was a big deal they didn't have previews...which lasted for months. Blu Ray was the same thing, some of the older blu rays have no previews, but now they do. What the hell? Reward people for spending money, not push them to steal from you.

They might be changing their policies soon...but not because they want to, but rather because they are being made to. Some company (can't remember which one) is complaining that Netflix type subscription services are hurting their bottom line because people rent more movies now vs. buying them. So, they are going to make it that you can't rent the movie via netflix until 30 or 40 days after it comes out. This will make people buy it if they want to see it when it becomes available or wait a month otherwise.
I can't remember what company it is though, but I read it somewhere. UPDATE: I found an article about it. It's Warner Bros. They are making Netflix and RedBox wait 28 days to put new releases out there. Here's an article that is about RedBox but references Netflix. http://articles.latimes.com/2010/feb...ox17-2010feb17 Quote:

Yeah Netflix signed a big deal with that company though so that they could instant stream more movies from the production company. So it was kind of a win win for both companies.

Instant Stream is the way to get more subscribers. Instant Stream over Xbox has been nothing short of a monumental success...even with the low availability.

Same with my fiance and I. We watched the entire series of the Office, Dr. Who, some of 30 rock, a lot of ghost shows, Heroes, and a bunch more. We love it.

I have gotten caught up on heroes, we just started lost (better late than never) we watched season 1+2 of Dexter and The Weeds now season three of both series are on our DVD cue we are going to rotate them. The best part is we grew up in families that were really different so the movies we watched as kids aren't the same so we have been watching the really cheesy movies like Howard the Duck, The Goonies, etc.
