can i play empire:total war on this computer?
hi, i want to get empire total war ..as stated above... but i dont want to have to pay for it till i know if have my crappy pc can run it or not so any help would help alot soo anyways on with the specs
I have: 2 processors running - Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 3.40GHz CPU speed- 3.39 GHz Performance Rated at 5.09 GHz RADEON X600 256MB HyperMemory (RADEON X600 (0x5B62)) 9.0c directx SigmaTel Audio sound card and 162.1 GB of free disk space and 1GB of RAM and i might be putting a new graphics card in but idk if itll be a upgrade or downgrade yet..its a nvidia geforce 6200 pci (but if you can tell me if this is a upgrade or downgrade too that would extremely awesome and save me alota time)  well thanks in advance to those who help me

 To answer your question, yes - that system WILL play Empire: Total War but only if you are running Windows XP. If you are running Vista then you will need 2GB of RAM. You might be able to get away with 1GB if your running Vista, but it will run like crap. Also - do you have an Xbox 360? We're going to be running a promo and giving away 1600 Microsoft Points. and yeah i have windows xp.. so then i would be able to play it pretty well then right? i also have a 360 but my i cant get xbox live to work |

i have heard and read that its pretty awesome...also have heard/read that its really buggy but if you can it to work that its awesome
like i downloaded the demo off a steam (took forever to finish for some reason) and went to play the game and it was all slow and choppy and had some loading problem where it would get to 50% done and it starts to play while your still at the loading screen so cause of the demo im right now considering if i should spend the $50 on the actualy game... |

Well part of the reason could be because it was just the demo, BUT that doesnt guarantee that the full game will play any better. There is a chance of that happening though. A lot of people are having problems with this game? Performance problems?
It could be just a poorly designed game in which case it wouldnt matter how good your computer was... |

It may run really bad but it could still work on their. I suggest getting a better computer with more RAM.

Well you guys i would love to say im quite impressed with this game and that its the best game ever in the total war series ... but i cant
 due to the fact that it wont load anything other then the main menu and options..campaigns, tutorials, quick battles wont load for me (would get bout half way and start flashing and the game would start while im stuck at the loading screen) so i can't tell you anything bout the game lolthe ads n loading before the main menu were choppy and slow, the download from steam took a good 3 hours at min (idk went to bed after the 3rd hour mark) and the options for some reason you cant set above medium (awkward) and thats all i can say bout the game atm >.>
