A PC game is a game played on a personal computer, rather than on a video game console or arcade machine. Computer games have evolved from the simple graphics and gameplay of early titles like Spacewar!, to a wide range of more visually advanced titles.

I don't know much about laptops, but I would imagine you would need a super laptop to run SF4 at 60fps. Desktops would have issues running this game. If you think you meet the recommended requirements though, I'd go to the Capcom forums and post there. I'm sure someone else has asked a performance question and you might be able to find some info there. If not, email capcom. Be sure to send them your specs when you do. Good luck.

Default 9600M GT

Welcome to the site renzokuken

Sorry to say, but I think you're going to be stuck in the 30-40fps range with your laptop. Even with the 9600M GT, your just slightly above this games minimum system requirements.

And this is why I'm a console gamer. The life of a console is about 5-10 years...a good PC, maybe 2-3 playing games at one resolution, another 2 at one step down, then 2 more years on medium settings...etc. I got tired of that. It's too expensive to constantly upgrade a PC.

Return SF4, take some money out of the ATM and go get yourself a 360 or PS3. You'll thank us for it.

What he is saying is that your only just above the minimum requirements for the game. If you have a desktop i would try that because you would get more luck out of that.

Yeah, you're right above the minimum. You'll be able to play the game, just not at it's highest settings. Turn the resolution down, decrease shadows, stuff like that. I don't think you're going to get 60fps unless you do a massive overhaul to your laptop...and that can get pricey.

The GeForce 9600M GT is not the same as the GeForce 9600 GT. The mobile version is much slower than the 9600 GT desktop video card.

The memory bus on the 9600M is 1/2 the size as the actual 9600. The GPU speed, shader frequency, memory frequency, and just about everything else is slower on the 9600M.

Your 9600M isn't even as fast as the GeForce 8600 GT.

Laptops aren't made to max out video games on their highest settings, sorry man
