Yeah, it was made by codemasters, but the reason people didn't like it was because of the open world nature. They tried something different (which isn't a bad thing) and it failed miserable (which is). Basically, with your GRID's and DIRT's, you race on a course...period. With FUEL, it was all open world. The open world was so boring. All you had to do was go around, find fuel tanks, find places with nice views, then go back to racing. It just felt like the developers dialed it in and cashed a paycheck. The game had no soul.
