Question Anyone Play Red Faction Guerrilla?

I had started Red Faction Guerrilla over the summer and until yesterday it had been roughly five months since I've played it. I decided to pick it up again and finish off the campaign, but I was just wondering if anyone else has finished the game. I'm really rusty at it and had a lot of trouble yesterday trying to destroy a bridge, which I was not able to accomplish

I beat the game over the summer. It's a good game, but once you beat it there really isn't any motivation to do anything else. I know they put out a mission DLC where you play as the hot chick engineer, but it's like 10 bucks for a couple hours of gameplay so I skipped it.

I liked the game, if I had to rate it, I'd give it an 8/10. It had a lot of good things going for it, namely the fun of destroying shit. They must make stuff out of paper though because the dude can bring down a 10 story building with a hammer in 10 seconds flat. Must be the Mars environment.

Let me know if you have any questions, I think I remember most of the ending and some missions. And remember, when you have a mission where you're being times, use the gun that disintegrates stuff...can't go wrong with it!

Well I just started getting into again last night and tried to destroy a high priority EDF bridge, but kept getting killed during the process. Maybe I was using the wrong method? I laid down 30 proximity mines and that took the bridge down to about 50% and then continued to shoot rockets at it and the best I was able to do was get it down to 11% before I got killed by EDF. I'm going to try again tonight. I think I'm still sorta early in the game. I'm in the "Badlands" right now.

I know what bridge you are referring to. Same thing happened to me since you come across it early in the game. I ended up saying screw it and moved on. I happened to come by it later in the gamer and gave it another shot and blew it up. Don't know if it was the upgraded weapons, new weapons, etc. or I just learned to blow shit up better...but I got it down.

OK here is what I'm going to try tonight. I will plant the proximity mines, blow them, then take off quick before EDF kills me. Then, I'll come back a couple minutes later and EDF should be gone. Hopefully I can destroy the rest of the bridge at that point.

I was so aggravated last night when I had it down to 11% and then died!

Bump!

I took out that bridge the second time I encountered it. All I did was run and lay mines. You guys must be playing on hard mode or something...

I like the idea of playing as a terrorist. Crashing into structures with a car covered in bombs, stealth guerrilla warfare, and then haul ass to the safe house. I just want to scream "JIHAD, ALALALALALALALALA" sometimes. I mean come on, we're even on a desert planet.

Haha, that was pretty funny.

I had trouble with the bridge too on normal...I must have placed them in the wrong spot or something. This is the huge bridge towards the mid to end of the game. The biggest bridge in the game. For some reason, it was just a bitch to bring down.

Default I own Red Faction Guerrilla...

I just ordered Red Faction Guerrilla.

I should have it within a week of this post.

You know I'll boost/play it with someone in a heartbeat.

I initially got the game for the 360 but sold it after I finished it. Recently though, I bought Darksiders for the 360 and there was a code in the box to redeem at the THQ store. When I did, it said I could chose to receive a free copy of red faction guerilla for either the ps3 or 360 as well as some darksiders book. That's pretty cool fan service right there. I might play it again or just toss it up on ebay and make a few bucks.
