Halo 3?

lookin for some advice here guys, im tryin to make up my mind wether to get halo 3 or ODST, one friend says Halo 3 is better and ODST isnt that fun but another says ODST is awesome and challenging and halo 3 is just okay so what do u guys think i know some of u have played both i really want ur opinion b/c i want a game to play before modern warfare 2 comes out and even to play and enjoy after MW2's releses

IM leaning more towards halo 3 b/c its cheaper but someone convince me

I can answer this question in a day or two I played Halo 3 a few years ago before I even had my own 360, and I just started ODST tonight... so I shall let you know my opinion after a little bit!

aight that would be sweet, i am tryin to make up my mind tonite b/c im probaly goin out tomaro to get one of the two at this point it will probably be halo3 instead of ODST simply b/c its cheaper , has a longer single=player and im assuming a better multiplayer, ill get ODST when the price drops, 60 bucks is a little steep for a short singleplayer and firefight (which of course sounds awesome) plus more of my friends have halo 3 as opposed to ODST

I'm playing Halo 3 now. I borrowed it from my friend who has ODST and 3. He said that ODST has better or different weapons, but when you get shot in ODST your screen is red for like 3 seconds. I haven't played it personally nor have I played Halo before until today... The most Halo i've ever played was at a party where I died in like 30 seconds of playing. It's a pretty good game.

It all depends on what you want. I played both, so if you have any specific questions, ask away.

Halo 3, play it for the story. It comes with multiplayer, but it's very basic. If you want to play Halo 3 multiplayer then the answer is a resounding ODST. ODST comes with every single expansion pack ever released for multiplayer (and there were a lot).

The story in ODST is my personal favorite too because it has more of a human feel. You play an ODST who is a barebones human. You can't take as much damage as a Spartan and enemies know this. They swarm you and you usually end up dead. You have to play it safe most of the time. ODST single player is pretty short though, so don't expect it to last longer than 6-8 hours depending on play style. Halo 3 was about 8-10 but people said it left a bad taste in their mouth when finished playing.

If you played Halo 1 and 2, you can play Halo 3: ODST safely because it actually takes place AFTER 2, not 3. So, play ODST, then play Halo 3. That's the logical progression.

Oh, and in one of your posts you said Halo 3 has better multiplayer...not true. They are identical. ODST comes with 2 discs. One is the single player game and the other is Halo 3's multiplayer disc with every expansion pack on it.

wait so the only difference between the two is ODST has a shorter (semi-better) single-player and firefight? So ODST comes with all the multiplayer that halo 3 comes with including all the maps so that mean i can play against all the people playing halo 3?

took ur advice VA1N and got ODST so i should be playing and gettin used to it for the rest of the day, then ill be lookin for ppl to play firefight with so VA1N and JP (when u get live bac) if u guys wanna play firefight hit me up or anyone else

sweet, i just played like 10 mins of firefight by myself and it looks awesome but i bet better w/ more people, if we can round up one or two guys we'll be set, to bad jaymac doesnt hav it

Hey, yeah, just let me know when you want to play it. I might not be able to today for too long because I'm going to be on sporadically throughout the day, but maybe one day this week? Just send me a message.

Oh, and you probably know by now but just to confirm...yes, what you said in that one post is correct. The MP in Halo 3 and ODST is absolutely identical. ODST just comes with the extra DLC people paid like 40 bucks for with Halo 3.

it all worked out rly well, i got the game for 23 bucks!! I traded in UFC which i never played and got 30 bucks for it (paid 60) and traded in BF: bad company and got 10 bucks(paid 17) so two okay games equal one good game
