Why Japanese Gamers Dont Buy the Xbox 360

The publisher of gaming magazine Famitsu, Enterbrain, polled his readers as to why they don't buy the Xbox 360.

Here are the results:

• Worried about its future: 35.71%
• Price is high: 7.14%
• No games I want to play: 3.57%
• Another reason: 53.57%

Most of that 53.57 percent is probably because of PS3

From what I can see its 47,600 yen which is about $410 USD.

Just because PS3 has bluray people think that it has better graphics in games and videos vs the xbox 360. 360 has better games than ps3 and better graphics for those game. 360 also has a better online experience.

I agree. The PS3 has a few really good ones that I wish I could play, but overall the 360 has much better games and also more people on Xbox LIVE than PSN.

I'm glad I chose XBox 360 over Playstation 3. I had a PS1 and realized that I just prefer to play XBox games. The original XBox was enough for me and when I finally could afford it, I got the 360.

This doesn't take away the fact there are several PS3 games I'd like to play, but the fact that I may never, doesn't bother me. Plus, the 360 has games like Halo, Gears, and Viva Pinata.

Within a few weeks of familiarizing myself with the 360 system and some games, I learned of the marvelous gamerscore feature. I hear that PS3 doesn't have an overall gamerscore even though they have trophies... hah, too late. Another thing the the 360 has is the lack of Japanese speakers clogging up the multiplayer, unless I'm playing Lost Planet or Dead or Alive 4.

Now I have a little something to show for all the hours of hair-pulling to get through the hardest difficulties and thorough exploring of games like I've been doing for over 15 years now.

Why couldn't I have invented the gamerscore and reaped the fame, and more important, the money? Just another thing that makes me sick that I could have invented along with that YELLOW 1st down line while watching football games on TV.

A little off topic, but does anyone know how they do this?! I mean that yellow 1st down line... its NEVER "over" any of the players or anything else on the field. How do they keep the line "behind" everything to make it look like its really painted on the field??? I want to know!!

I don't think it's paint because they would have to wash it after and thats like 70 times in a game..

I think they do it just like a green screen for a set point the computer puts that line on anything that is green (field). I have noticed teams like the seahawks and the packers sometimes have a yellow line on there helmits/jerseys.
