Xbox 360 New Additions
If you havent heard already, Microsoft will be introducing Facebook, Twitter and other social networking websites to the Xbox 360! And they're not going to do it with a separete general-purpose browser like Sony did with the PS3. Instead, Microsoft will build it into the Xbox Dashboard by adding new channels and creating a new "lean back" view.
David McLean, head of Microsoft Entertainment had this to say, "Before Christmas, Xbox 360 users will have access to high definition movies-on-demand, Facebook, Twitter and a host of other features through our console." These "other featuers" most likely will include FM online music and other content from TV companies or possibly sataliate radio. "This will give families even greater freedom to share, socialise and interact online, as some of the world’s largest social networks move from the PC to the TV, and into the heart of the family living space," added McLean. |

Would be so much easier to go on facebook when im gaming :P the lazy way Do you know the release date atall? or has it just been said that "before christmas" it will be out?

No official date yet. Historically there is always a major Xbox LIVE update in the Fall time, so it wouldnt surprise me to see it then. Probably sometime in October/November the latest if I had to guess.

It's hard to type with the 360 controller though. They need to set it up where you can speak through your headset and it will type for you... some kind of voice recognition or something like that!

If you dont want to buy a keypad, or sign in on xbox.com and send messages from there, you can send messages fast by using a normal keyboard (***with USB***) from your computer. Just insert the end of the usb cord of the keyboard into the usb slot of your 360 and you can type faster
