DS Plug-in "Didget" to Monitor Diabetes

The drug company Bayer is tapping into the younger generation by developing a new one-of-a-kind Nintendo DS plug-in used for kids to monitor their glucose levels making testing fun and simple! This plug-in hooks up to the DS and DS Lite's Slot 2. It's a simple game that monitors the child's glucose levels and rewards points for consistant readings. The points are then used to unlock items within the game and level up to higher ranks. The plug-in is not compatiable with the DSi however.

I think this is a great idea to help get young children in the habbit of thinking about the diabetes. I think it will also help them understand the importance of needing to maintain steady readings.
