Any ladies playing MW2?

i know a few girls that play mw2, when im on later ill see if they would be interested in it.

Hell, I'm a dude, and I rarely speak over Xbox live. I just don't want to deal with the kids on there. I can't imagine how bad it is for a girl, especially if she has a very feminine voice and she is immediately flagged as a chick. My fiance used to play Uno on Xbox Live and wow...she would unplug the headset and just let the sound come out of the TV. It would get so funny that we would start messing with people. She would start talking, cough, then I would say uhmm, excuse me, something's in my throat, then she would begin talking. I think I got some negative reports after all of that too, but it was worth it.

Personally, it's something that I can deal with. It gets annoying sometimes. I can't tell you how many times I've been called fat and ugly by people who have never seen me (and who are probably even uglier ). Some people have a harder time dealing with it. It's sad because I've played with girls who are so turned off to it that they won't even talk when it's just other girls and our friends in the room.

Yeah, but over the past couple years, the barrier between women and gaming has progressed significantly. For instance, my fiance and I are 24/25 respectively. When she was younger, she owned a gameboy and that's about it. She may have dabbled in NES Mario games or Sonic on the Sega, but not much. Nowadays though, I've all but turned her into a gamer (sometimes to my dismay when she hogs the tv/computer). Her game of choice is World of Warcraft where she is seriously good at it. Besides WoW, she'll play puzzle games or some Wii games, but no shooters or anything. If you would have asked me 2 years ago if I would have ever imagined her playing WoW, I would have laughed my ass off. But games are becoming more accessible, even to girls who don't like the whole idea of gaming (i.e., my fiance, Reilly).

I think it's awesome. It's still a new idea, girls playing video games, but we'll be seeing a lot more of it in the years to come. Reilly wants to have kids in a few years, so if I have a daughter, rest assured she'll be a gamer

haha im not very goo either, i did meet one girl who was a friend of a friend (only played with her once) but she held her own in a lobby full of guys (she actually made fun if most of them) i mostly play for fun and to talk with friends, we should defiantly play sometime

i do agree with you VA1N that the whole idea of girl gamers is new, shooter games were almost created to appeal to guys (way of getting out aggression i guess) plus sports games also really dont appeal to many girls so gaming kind of steered itself away from girls but all it needs is a couple badass girls to show others that its okay to play xbox and kick some ass

im sure most girls would take offense to that wether they are gamers or not, some may not go as far as bodily harm but theyd be pretty pissed

Oh I can definitely hold my own. If I'm in the bottom half of the scoreboard that's a rarity. If I'm playing with my guys I'm usually between 4-6 overall. If I'm playing by myself I'm often in the top 3. It all depends on my moods, though. Sometimes I'm just not feeling it and sometimes it's nearly impossible to kill me.

I don't take offense. Everyone has their own barrier between what is an acceptable joke and what is pushing it. If you said that to my face I'd give you my "You're in trouble look" and then laugh. That's definitely not pushing my line. Now if you were serious...
