Figured I'd post this for you guys...
GourZeroTwo (AKA: Robert Bowling) just posted this via twitter. Apparently they have having issues with connections to Xbox Live: (read bottom one first, then top) ![]() So, if this applies to you or if you have this issue today, be careful...Not sure what it means besides what he said. Go here to find out more: Robert Bowling (fourzerotwo) on Twitter |

"turn on a goddamn light!!" i dont understand how people can pour so much time into a video game, i think its time for an intervention

VAIN your not much older than me (I don't think) and thats the way it was when I was growing up. Every saturday my friends and I played a pick up game baseball/basketball/football it just depended on what sport was about to start, but rain or shine we all showed up. We would only play video games during this time of year when it was dark out right after school so you really couldn't do anything any ways or if it was lightning out. All through the summer we pretty much had a permanent tan. I also think that for some reason parents have been the most damning to doing that though. When I was ten my friends all lived within a mile of me and we would ride our bikes over to eachothers houses all the time. Now my little brother is ten and he can't ride his bike to a friends house a few blocks away my Mom is afraid something might happen. The funny part the nieghborhood has gotten alot better in those 13 yrs. |

Growing up I lived in a neighborhood that was about 1/2 mile by 1/2 mile. Within that area was a baseball diamond, football field, 7-11, baseball card store, and a whole bunch of friends. We were always playing something outside. Hell, I could ride my bike up to the park at any given time of the day and find someone else looking to play baseball. We'd begin by throwing the ball back and forth and slowly but surely, kids would take notice, go home and get their gloves, then come running back. Within 45 minutes, we had an 8 on 8 game...sometimes we'd get the full 9 if someone's sister was in right field. Damn, those were the days. But even then, I could see it starting to fade away. As I got older (maybe around 12ish), kids started wearing their pants down to their knees and could barely run the bases anymore. They became more obsessed with how they looked running the bases then how far it was hit. We all stopped around high school and I haven't seen many kids showing up at the field anymore. Oh, and I'm 25 btw. |

I was thinking about what kids are doing anymore. I still have younger siblings and it seems that as soon as they get home they get onto facebook/myspace, then text there friends, maybe call them, then call mom and see if there are chores, then check facebook/myspace, then mom gets home and they eat then its to late to do anything. When I was in school I got home dropped my bag called for chores then bolted ASAP. |

Same here. I was always at my friends house around the corner playing basketball or baseball. And we would ride our bikes everywhere! Fun times. If I tried to ride a bike today I'd probably fall over haha.

OK I just went 2nd Prestige last night! I don't think I will ever make it to 10th Prestige, but I want to at least prestige one or two more times. I will probably go 4th Prestige actually, because I don't like the icon for 3rd Prestige haha!
I stopped trying to boost and lame crap like that... I found it's just as fast to level up if you try to master every gun, which is what I have been doing. |
