Default Favorite Parts of Modern Warfare 2 - SPOILERS

Spoilers ALLOWED. Don't read through this thread if you don't want to be spoiled!!!

I'm not done with campaign mode yet, but so far here are 4 of my favorite parts from Modern Warfare 2:

  • Riding the snowmobile in the Cliffhanger level. Man, I was flyin through those woods and shooting and killing enemies all at the same time! That was just awesome! And FUN!
  • The very first time you get to perform a slow motion breach! Shot every one of them in the head and got the achievement too haha 4 shots 4 kills.
  • When you have to jump to the next rooftop to get to the helicoptor, but you fall short and have to sprint through all those shacks with no weapon while getting shot at!
  • Walking into LAX Airport as a Russian and just unleashing the machine gun and killing everyone! Hundreds of innocent people. That would be horrible in real life, but man did I feel like a bad ass when playing that part of the game... awesome gameplay there.

After playing that one level I found out that it's not the LAX airport. You're actually in a Russian airport. That's why the bad guy says "No Russian." He knew he had an American in his group and he knew he was going to kill the American at the end of it to cause the international incident. I was wondering why everything was in Russian as I was going through.

I'm loving the game so far but one thing I'm noticing, most stuff is highly unbelievable. You know in the first MW, everything that happened was at least plausible. You could imagine it happening, albeit, it was over the top. In MW2, it's like the developers were going for a summer blockbuster and doing nonstop action scenes. Like on the snowmobile...Sorry, but no way in hell you would have made that one jump.

It doesn't take away from the game too much, but it's interesting to point out. It seems like the devs were trying to go for the MW1 nuke scene in every level with some of the big explosions and over the top action. Great game so far though.

Ok, so I haven't seen this, but apparently it's in the game. A reader sent it into Kotaku.com and said it's in the upstairs shower in the cabin. Good ol' blow up doll

I hear you VA1N, there have been some parts that are a bit far fetched, but those are the same parts of the game that make it so much fun! As soon as I hit that jump I just started laughing and said to myself, "that was awesome!" hehe

Other parts of the game are very realistic. For example, I can't remember which level it was, but after I finished the level it never went back to that normal loading screen. Instead, it put up an Emergency Broadcast System alert and I swear I thought somehow my cable company was able to interrupt my Xbox and show me this emergency alert that I had to evacuate my town! HAHA. It didn't have me fooled 100%, but it made me say, "Wait a minute...".

Oh, I know. I'm a huge fan of the over the top stuff. That doesn't bother me. It keeps me interested. I say more of it. I play video games to escape reality and enjoy something different. But, when the two mix, like what you said (I haven't seen that part yet, probably tonight) it makes it all the more sweeter.

I can't stop thinking about the game today at work, lol. I'm seriously running through the campaign in my head nonstop...haha.

Man, that sucks. I don't mean to rub it in, but I'm so happy I'm not at work right now! I can confirm the blow up doll in the bath tub. Here is my own picture! By the way, going through that cabin is another great part of the game. You get to breach and clear 3 rooms by yourself.

Reilly, my fiance, watched the opening scenes of the game and watched up until a little after the Airport scene. She loved it. She couldn't stop saying how much it reminded her of a movie.

Thats why I was able to play last night my wife took a shower and I thought maybe I can make it through the first chapter. She came out and asked what I was watching before realizing it was a game so she watched me play it. She had a phone call during the part where there discribing that your undercover. So when she got off the phone and I was going through the airport shotting random people she got upset.
