Playing Modern Warfare 2

The only real problem with the story, I think it's safe to say this without Spoiler tags because it's assumable, is that there'll be a part three, and because the campaign can be beaten in a single day, let alone a single sitting... When is part three due? And what is Treyarch - the guys who were behind CoD3 - going to be doing, since they have a pattern of alternating? If they're behind CoD: Modern Warfare 3 - if that's what it'll be called - It'll be one hell of a flop. But that's looking too far ahead, for sure.

Also, I'd like to make it known that "Ghost" was not called "Ghost" in my head. Whenever they said his name, I corrected them. It was "Gaz".

He's still alive, damnit. *Sniffle*

Their has basically been a new Call of Duty every year now so hopefully sometime this time next year we will see Modern Warfare 3. That would be about 4 months prior to the expected release for the new Medal of Honor Modern Warfare game...

The next Call of Duty is going to be Treyarch, you are correct. This will likely come out next year, or early 2011. I'm guessing late 2010. It won't be a continuation on this story, but rather their own...most likely in modern times (which I think is a disaster, but whatever. They need to do history, just not WW2 to differentiate from IW). So, with Treyarch coming out next year probably, that means IW will be out in late 2011, or early 2012. Could even be late 2012, or early 2013 depending on the release time of Treyarchs (just drop Treyarch and move on with IW) That's what sucks about video games, you find one you really like and that has a cliffhanger, you're waiting for a while to resolve it Not really a horrible thing, I just hate cliffhangers in games.

personally im still pumped playing MW2 and dont really want to think about a Modern Warfare 3 or what ever fuck up Treyarch has up their sleeves, im gunna continue to play this game for awhile and am wicked pleased with what IW has done with this game

Off topic, but just wanted to point out...
I think wicked is one of the best adjectives to come out of the North East, US and I wish it would catch on to other states Same with bloody...I wish people in the US could use bloody as an adjective and not sounds stupid.

Back on topic - I agree with you. Enjoy this game because it's here now. The multiplayer is phenomenal and they pretty much made the definitive multiplayer game that people wanted. The customization is crazy and people are going to be playing this (just like last time) up until MW3.

Yeah what I really hate about cliffhangers is when the sequal does come out, its has a different look the gameplay changes and worse off the end of the first cliffhanger is ruined by the story they have to make for the next game.

It will be really interesting to see where they take the story in the next. They definitely have enough story to put into a couple more games, let alone 1. I think we'll be seeing Call of Duty game's, especially in Modern times, well into the next couple years. I'm just waiting for "Call of Duty: Futuristic Warfare." Now that would be badass. One word, Lasers!

I need a partner to help me with those two Special Ops missions where you have to play together as a team... anyone on right now? I'm trying to get all 69 stars, so we need to do them on Veteran too.

These Special Ops missions are really fun! I'm having problems with the Stealth ones though. I'm not patient enough hehe.

Alex and I played through a bunch on normal last night. We tried Veteran one on of them and got blown away, haha. It was one where you were on a perch taking people out. The spec op missions are a lot of run and they are going to release DLC to add new ones.
