Sick of Trying to Nuke

I don't know about anyone else, but I felt I had to say that I'm sick and tired of trying to get 25 streaks. For now anyways, I'm done trying to nuke. Previously, my kill-streak rewards were setup as follows: 7 - Harrier Strike, 11 - Chopper Gunner, 25 - Nuke. It's getting more and more difficult and time consuming to get a 7 streak, and to make things worse, once you finally get the Harrier and/or Chopper Gunner, they are getting shot down a lot.

So I have recently decided to quit trying to nuke and have switched my kill-streak rewards to: 5 - Predator Missile, 7 - Harrier Strike, 11 - Chopper Gunner.

It's much easier to get the 5 streak and from there it's easy to reach chopper gunner. Sure, you can't nuke if you happen to catch a good game, but overall the experience is more fun for me now that I lowered my kill-streak rewards. Forget the damn nuke... who cares?!

Yeah the first round before prestiging I did that but this one I have kept my KS's just like yours 5,7,11 and have been doing much better. I'll do that maybe if I'm playing with alot of low level players but until then I'll keep with what I have.

I find that the nuke people are usually campers who find some exploited spot and just camp and shoot, camp and shoot, camp and shoot and rack up kills. It's never anyone who is really really good because you can't look in every direction at once.

Well there is always a little camping involved whenever you're trying to go for the nuke. The key is really to get 7 kills in a row to get the Harrier Strike and after that you may not even need to use your weapon again since it's possible to get the remaining 18 kills between the Harrier Strike and Chopper Gunner.

I think it's lame if you camp for the entire first 7 streak, but certainly not every does that. It's almost impossible to camp for all 7 anyways because after the first few kills there will be at least two people who know exactly where you're at.

There have been plenty of times where I have been running around just having a good game and hit a 5 or 6-streak without even realizing I was on a streak while it was happening! Personally, if I had my nuke turned on and I unexpectedly ended up with a 5 or 6 streak (maybe I cought a lucky double kill or something) then I would definitely stop running around and probably camp until 7.

I think it's reasonable if you legitimately make it to 5 or 6 kills and then camp for your next 1 or 2 kills in order to make it to 7. This is not so much camping as it is strategy in my opinion. Plus, if the person trying to nuke is playing against me it's not going to happen anyways since I take out those Harriers before they can even stop to start shooting at people! (I love doing that)

But I have still been playing with a 5 - 7- 11 setup and have been having some great games. Yesterday I had a 21 and 0 game and then a few games later had a 22 and 0 game ...obviously I had gotten the Chopper Gunner on both games. One of the maps was on Wasteland which is an absolutely awesome map for the Chopper Gunner!

Yeah the Chopper and 130 rape on waste land. As for the get 5 then camp I like that stratagy and imploy it if i get to 4 kills I will normally find a nice corner lay a claymore and then pull my shoty. I normally will do this for the predator then run to another spot for the harrier then try to get kills while the harrier is going.
