Unlimited Ammo!

Have any of you come across this yet? It's not a glitch or anything, it's just the servers messing up and there is NO ammo counters! This means unlimited ammo on everything, including the AC130 gunship! Check out the video... he gets a tactical nuke after about 15 seconds due to his unlimited ammo

By the looks of it, this game seems to be full of glitches and bugs, unlike most games, but that just looks insane!!

I wound up in one of these matches with unlimited ammo and apparently made friends with the person (so he says) who actually made this patch/variant. I believe him because he was actually able to ban certain players who were pissing him off which were mainly people who were using n00b tubes. He would say at the beginning of the match, "No n00b tubes or I will ban you" and those who didn't listen... got banned.

I guess he was some how able to modify one of the IW servers. His "variant" (or modification) makes it look like the match that's about to begin is completely normal and legitimate, but once the match actually loads, the map suddenly switches to "Rust" and that's also when his variants get switched on, which are basically two things: unlimited ammo and friendly fire activated.

Anyways, I seen him and his friends go like 300+ kills and only like 60 deaths! What a crazy kill to death ratio!! I took a short video with my cell phone as well. Basically, once you get an 11 streak for the AC130 it's pretty much game over... you should be able to get about 75-100 kills while in the AC130. At this point obviously, they are WAY above a 25 streak so they hold on to their nukes and keep trying to get the AC130 over and over again until time is almost out, at which point they call in a tactical nuke to end the game.

I however played with these guys for about two hours straight and was unsuccessful at getting the AC130 so my kill to death ratio isn't looking so hot right now. And neither is my accuracy lol. They had an advantage because there was two of them working together and they knew the best spots to spawn camp so they could help each other get to an 11 kill streak. Even then, it still wasn't easy for them to get 11 streaks, but I witnessed it happen more than enough times. Without a strategy like theirs, it would be extremely difficult to get an 11 streak on your own.

If you do happen to wind up in one of these matches... and you do happen to get an AC130... I'm sure you'll be loving your XP. These guys were ending matches with over 20,000 XP just for kills alone, never mind their match bonus!

I also noticed multiple Prestige 5 and 6 guys in there playing as well. And now I understand how it's possible for people to be at Prestige 5 and higher at this early in the game!! :x

I saw this over at Kotaku. Those dudes you made friends with are going to be banned within the next week or two. Anyone who ended up in a game though will most likely not. Here's why...

The glitch is actually a virus...in a way. Someone modifies a multiplayer game and plays with a bunch of people. The settings of the game are stored in your multiplayer cache on the Xbox. Everyone finishes the game and goes their seperate ways. There's a chance that each person will spawn a new infinite ammo game when they leave that one game, therefore spreading the "virus" out amongst other people. The only way to get rid of the "virus" is to restart your console and clear out your MP cache. That will fix it and take you back to original ammo.

This is case and point why MW2 multiplayer people bug me. They fuck with stuff they shouldn't be fucking with and ruin it for the rest of us. Thankfully, Uncharted 2 hasn't gotten any assholes to do shit like this.

Yup. Last night when I was done screwing around with them, I tried to join a "normal" game and it told me that my list was an older version or something like that and said to play I had to restart my console or game. So I restart the console and everything was fine after that. That was the point where I realized something was really screwed up though!

I agree and disagree. This guy and his friend really didn’t care about the game. They know how to do this type of hacking, they saw an opportunity and they exploited it. It's the same as any other type of exploiting really. These two wouldn't even necessarily be considered "MW2 multiplayer people". They might be there only for the reason that they enjoy this type of activities. You have SO many people playing this game that some hacker is bound to find a hole in the system... that’s just what hackers do... Call of Duty players or not.

It's IW that needs to spend some of those millions to prevent these types of things from happening!

Yeah, I wrote that early this morning. I didn't really mean MW2 people piss me off, it's more the games that have a huge following and you get assholes like this.

See I am on both sides of the fence with whos to blaim. I program (be it robots) but I still program and its impossible to set up a nonbreakable program. Expecially if once it gets out there people instantly start to try to break it. At the same time as soon as it happens I can fix it and make it better shortly but this has been happening to me for a few days now. Plus they have alot more people looking at fixing it and making alot of money to do so.

Destructoid is blocked here at work, but from the sounds of your last post, VA1N, I'm guessing that they are banning those who are causing the spreading of this "virus". That is good to hear

Last night it seemed like that's all anyone was doing. Hopefully tonight we won't see any of that going on!

Welcome back man! You are totally missing out on this unlimited ammo crap haha. People are ending matches with more than 20,000 XP! Wish we could get 3 or 4 of us together and work as a team taking turns getting AC130 gunships...
