Default BioShock 2 Delayed

Take-Two has just announced the release date of BioShock 2 has been pushed back into their fiscal year 2010. The original release date was scheduled for November 2, 2009. Now we'll have to wait until next year to see the game.

As sad as this news may be to some, we should be happy to know that increased development time will only result in a better overall game, which in the end is what's most important.

Ben Feder, CEO of Take-Two said, "The decision to shift a release date is never an easy one, especially with a product as highly anticipated as BioShock 2. We felt that it was essential to invest the additional time to ensure that this title will deliver what its fans expect and deserve".

"As a result, we will now be launching sequels to several of our strongest franchises - including BioShock 2, Mafia II, Max Payne 3 and Red Dead Redemption - during the next fiscal year. These titles will anchor our lineup for fiscal 2010, and along with other products planned for next year, provide a platform for enhanced financial performance in what we hope will be an improved retail environment," he said.

We'll update you as soon as Take-Two releases the new date.

Well, it kinda sucks that it's pushed back, but I would hate to see the sequel to one of my favorite games of 2007 rushed out the door and flawed. So, in the long run... More power to 'em.

Personally, I can't wait for Red Dead Redemption. I loved Red Dead Revolver, though it wasn't the most popular game. Something about it was... Charming, for lack of a better word. =P

Funny you should mention Red Dead Redemption. I was just watching the trailer a few days ago. It looks pretty good. To be honest, I've never played any western games like that. Maybe I'll have to

And yeah, I agree this BioShock news stinks, but it's better not to be rushed! Modern Warfare 2 comes out in November as well, so we'll just have to play that instead! (if you're into the Call of Duty series)

I was never the BIGGEST fan of the Western Era in video games, but... I think I'm slowly starting to ease into it. Red Dead Redemption looks pretty stellar, though.

Aaah, I can't wait for that. I'm a major fan of the Call of Duty series - one of my favorite Multiplayer games today... Modern Combat 2 looks extraordinary.

I know it just recently came out, but have you played Call of Juarez yet? That looks like another good Western game.

I played the first CoJ and... To be honest, it was sub-par. I wasn't the biggest fan of it at all, but I liked the way it looked, and I did have fun in places.

The new one looks pretty interesting, though... I might need to rent it, possibly.

Yeah, I think it's definitely worth a rent. I would feel weird spending $60 on it also.

Exactly.

I wouldn't say the first one felt... "unfinished", but it felt a little... "bland."

Default Delayed Bioshock 2 ... frown

YouHadMeAtHal0 and I were discussing this delay. We're upset, but at least this will give me time to soak up Assassin's Creed 2 for a month or two.

As for a western, I'd like to recommend GUN. That is one of the best westerns I've ever played. I wish I owned it for the 360, but I have it on original XBox. It's an older title, but it has great game play, voice acting and sound effects. Voices like Tom Jan, Kris Kristofferson, and more. Riding a horse is realistic and cool.
Definitely check out GUN for a western.

Also, I see there's an ALIEN VS. PREDATOR game coming out in 2010. I can't wait to blow away some aliens and see their acid blood spill everywhere.

GUN was an amazing western type game. I used to play it all the time on the original xbox, and for the horse riding for the first xbox i must say it was very good and the graphics were good also.
