This code provides you with 1600 points redeemable for content available on the Xbox LIVE Marketplace. So how do you sign up? Easy! Just register for a free GamersThrone account if you don't already have one and then simply take part in our online gaming community.

This contest begins on 7/16/2009 and ends at midnight on 8/15/2009. A random drawing will be held and the winner will be announced on August 16th. To get your username entered into the drawing there are two minimum requirements which must be met; 1 individual requirement and 1 overall requirement.

1. Individual requirement: You must make a minimum of 30 valid posts between 7/16 and 8/15. See rules below for more details.
2. Overall requirement: A minimum of 9 members must reach the individual requirement before the drawing will take place.

It gets better! You can earn extra entries into the drawing by making referrals. If you tell a friend about GamersThrone, have them enter your username on the registration form while they are signing up. For every one referral you make, you will earn an extra entry into the drawing! There is one catch, your referral must make at least 5 valid posts prior to 8/15 in order for you to earn the extra entry.

The official rules:

1. A "valid post" is simply a new thread or a reply to any existing thread that is on topic, non-spam like, meaningful and of good quality.
2. New threads you start and replies to any existing threads will both count towards the 30 minimum post count requirement for qualification.
3. You are only allowed to register under one username. This will be tracked and looked at very carefully. It is very simple for us to detect if you are using more than one username. If you are found to be cheating you will immediately be disqualified from this contest.
4. If you make referrals, the person who is registering must enter your username at the time of their registration in order for it to count as a referral.

Well, to left of my post, it says I have 90 posts so far. I guess I'll just need to keep participating on this website until the # reaches +30 or 120.

88elliot88, you don't have to keep track of it yourself if you don't want to. I have a report that I can run which shows me how many posts everyone has between 7/16 and 8/15. And I can see the content of each post to make sure it's a valid post.

I just want others to read this and know how lucky we are to at least have a chance at winning something just by frequenting and participating in this website.

I've been using xbox360achievements.org for over two years for information on unlocking achievements for the Xbox360. While they have information I'm looking for, they don't have near as many contests for their subscribed users.
They have about 4 contests a month. I've noticed that they have over 1,000 participants for each one.

With the # of hits that website gets each month, they should be offering a hundred contest winners a month. Instead it's a mere 5 or 10. Plus their prizes are nothing compared to 1600 MS points.

So thanks to Gamersthrone.com for making their website a little more fun with more incentive.

Yeah I think the other website is just being really, really cheap.

Some of their prizes are just XBLA games. It's better than nothing, but I have a 1/1000 chance of winning. Plus you can't choose which game, they choose the game, which are usually cheap ones. Plus one XBLA game is worth less than 1600 MS points.

Oh well, I just hope gamersthrone.com won't forget its members when it hits the big time. Good luck. Hopefully, I'll still be around.
