Alpha Protocol was one of my biggest disappointments of last year. Not because the game was bad but because it didn't come out. I have been looking forward to this game for a while now and it was due out last year but was eventually pushed into the land of to be determined around fall. Well, the news just came out and I couldn't be more excited to announce that the game will hit store shelves on June 1st, 2010.
If you haven't heard much about Alpha Protocol, I wouldn't fault you. The marketing behind the game has been nothing short of horrible. It's basically a western RPG where you play a spy. You level up, have branching conversation dialogues, and can customize your character as you see fit. If you want to make a James Bond type spy that uses handguns and smooth talking skills, go for it. If you want to be more of a Jason Bourne, you can do that too. If you want to be a pacifist and rarely use your gun, it's been said the game can be completed without killing one enemy (although it's probably very hard to do so). I'm excited about the game and even if it gets low review scores, I think I'll still be checking it out when it comes out due to the long wait and the excitement build up of the whole spy customization features. Alpha Protocol will be released for the PS3 and 360.
Here's a video to give you some additional insights into the game. Enjoy...
