BioShock 2 Launch Trailer - Become the Big Daddy

It seems with every new launch trailer I'm blown more and more away. The new BioShock 2 launch trailer is no different. If you aren't sure what a launch trailer is, it's basically the last video to be released by the studio before the game comes out. It's usually released within the week before a game is set to come out. Sometimes it contains gameplay footage but recently it hasn't. It's more story related and used as a means to get you hyped to play a game. If you aren't hyped to play BioShock 2 and jump into the role of a Big Daddy, then you never will be. Check out the video below and let everyone know if you're excited to play this game on Tuesday. I have my preorder in...can't wait to visit Rapture again!

Should I play Bioshock 1 before I get this?

I say yes, mainly because Bioshock 1 was such an amazing game. Even though it's something like 2 years old now, it is still better than some of the games that came out within the past few months. It's really your average shooter, but the atmosphere is what wins fans over. You feel like you are in this state of the art underwater facility where a big war just took place and things are nuts. The music, writings on the wall, mad rantings by the splicers (bad guys) all add to the ambiance. You can probably pick it up on the cheap too - most likely under 20 bucks. I say yes, but on the counterpoint, they will tell you most of what you need to know within the first hour of BioShock 2. It just depends how into games you get and if you will feel like you missed something if you don't know all the details. You could finish BioShock 1 in a weekend and be ready by Tuesday easily.

Hell yeah I am excited to play this game! The trailer is awesome. Those Big Sisters are going to be a pain in the ass. I'm glad the Big Daddy has all the same powers as Jack had.
