Default Mass Effect 2 Launch Trailer is Epic

The title says it all. The launch trailer for Mass Effect is so epic, it's epic. I'm kinda partial since Mass Effect 1 was my favorite game of all time, hands down, but I think anyone watching the following would be able to say, "ok, yeah, that's pretty epic." If you've played the first game, you know that the Galaxy was barely saved by the heroic efforts of Shepard and his team. The second game, due out this Tuesday, takes place a couple months after the events of the first game. Shepard is a galactic hero, but something happens to him in the beginning of the game. Rumor has it, he's dead. He comes back though, the events of this are still unknown, but the story in ME2 basically has the things called "Collectors" taking humans away from their home worlds. The human extremist organization Cerberus recruit Shepard (after saving his life) to help bring about an end to them. Shepard must undertake a suicide mission, but first recruit the galaxy's best soldiers and scientists to help him. And that's ME2 in a nutshell. I learned over the past couple weeks that Shepard can end up dead by the game's end. That's pretty epic. Anyways, I'll shutup now and let you watch the launch trailer for my most anticipated game of the year (possibly years).

In about 25 hours, I will have a copy of Mass Effect 2 in my hands. I have never been as excited for a game as I am right now. The review scores are pouring in and they are amazing.

Xbox Magazine UK - 100
Games(TM) - 100
IGN - 96
US Xbox Magazine (Official) - 95
IGN AU - 93

People are already saying it's a great possibility to be game of the year 2010. I'm almost finished my fifth and final playthrough of Mass Effect 1 to prepare for ME2 tomorrow. I took off work, the fiance will be at work so I'll have the basement to myself, I can't freaking wait. The way some of you were for MW2, well that's how I feel for Mass Effect 2.

So, anyone else thinking of getting it?
