Since the last posting that Subject Zero would be joining the group of characters for Mass Effect 2, there have been some others.
For starters, Tali is coming back. If you don't remember who exactly Tali was in the first game, check out the following video for a refresher. While there isn't a video documenting him, my favorite character from the first game, Gareth, will also be returning. But, most notably is the new character that was just announced not too long ago. She is an Asari (blue alien chicks) and a Justicar. She looks like she takes no shit from anyone and I think I just found another must have part member in my group. It seems with each video released I get more and more excited about this game. So, without further adieu, Samara... |

Got this game in the GameFly queue
Never played the first one though. Do I need to play the first before I play the second? |

I would. Go out and pick it up for 20 bucks, its worth it.
I assure you, you will like it. It's my favorite game of all time. That's no joke. I've been playing games for years (since the Atari days) and none have been so moving and different than Mass Effect. Other come close (KoTOR 1, FF7, Return to Castle Wolfenstein) but Mass Effect is my favorite game of all time. Just for that recommendation, you should try it out. Plus, when part 2 comes out, it's going to read your save file and give you a unique experience. So, lets say you killed off a teammate, he's gone from part 2. If you saved him, he'll be there. If you were good in the first game, you'll start off good in second, etc. etc. It's the first time a game is ever going to do that. You might not have to know the story of the first one, but from what I hear, it plays an important role. The story is top notch, so you'll enjoy playing it to get the story down. |
