Gears of War 2 is a tactical third-person shooter video game, developed by Epic Games and published by Microsoft Game Studios for Xbox 360. It is the second game of the Gears of War series (as the sequel to Gears of War), and was announced by lead designer Cliff Bleszinski during the February 20, 2008 Game Developers Conference.
So, I got the comic with the chick who is rumored to be in the third game. Read it last night and it's pretty interesting. If you are planning to buy the comic and read it, turn around now, otherwise, click the spoiler link below for a little summary of her story.

Marcus and Dom and some others in Delta squad are under fire from some Locust snipers. They call in backup and Foxtrot squad comes to bail them out. There's 2 people out of the squad who the story focuses on. Marcus yells for them to throw a grenade but they can't throw it that high. So, one of the two people from Foxtrot run up to the building, climb up, and sees a ticker. The person shoots the ticker, kills the Locust, and saves the day. Dom makes a comment and says "He's one bad ass." That's when the "bad ass" takes off her helmet and it's Alex.
They go back to base and Cole is making comments about how he is the ladies dream. Women beg him to please them and stuff. Without him knowing, Alex hears him, sneaks up behind him and yells "INCOMING!". Cole is startled, throws his beer in the air, Alex catches it and walks off all cool. The guys are star struck.
A new mission is passed down from Hoffman about the guys needing to go to a town called Jilane where there is a "baby farm" and see if there are any survivors. Baby farms are where the COG's took women who were over 14 to be impregnated to make babies. Alex was one such woman. When she was 12, she was taken there to be prepared. When she was 14, they started artificial insemination on her. When that didn't take, they started doing it the old fashion way by picking the biggest and baddest gear soldiers to try and impregnate her. She described it as rape because she didn't want to, but if she resisted, they just tied her down and did it anyways. The lead doctor there was a sick pervert who would oftentimes rape and sodomize the girls. It was a pretty grusome scene in the comic and you could tell the character Alex was definitely shaken by it. When she was 18, she was labeled barren because she never produced a child. So, instead of letting her go back home, she was drafted into the military where she began a good career as a scout. The harsh conditions of the "farm" really set her off because she felt right at home killing in the military.
So, the part sets off for the "farm" and when they get there they see a complete murder scene. Body parts lying all over the floorm blood everywhere, but no locusts (alive that is). The team kinda look around Alex starts talking about how bad it is for the COG to force women to have babies. Marcus makes a comment that sort of showed he understood where she was coming from but, "we need more soldiers." As soon as he said that, a group of women with guns and wastelander gear on show up in the room and say something along the lines of, "Who needs soldiers?"
The women are the girls who were raped in the farm. If Alex wouldn't have left, she would have been one of them. The comic says to be continued right after the women show up, so I'm curious to see where they go with this from here. Will Delta and the women fight? Or will the women lend some support? The women are complete badasses too! Oh my god. One even has a surgical mask on with a gun in both hands.
So, there you have it. When I read the rest of the comics, I'll post some more info about it. Again, don't read the spoilers if you don't want to learn the contents of the comic. If you aren't going to read the comic, then this information will be good to have if she ever makes it into the game.

I won't be reading the comic so I read your spoiler. Ya gotta love Cole's comments, as usual haha. And Alex looks hot! I do hope she is in the game... she'll be bad ass.
Yeah, she's the typical punk rock girl with an attitude. Honestly though, I'm not sure if she would fit into the game as a main supporting character (i.e. like in Gears 1 with Kim or Carmine) but she would work if you meet up with her every now and then...maybe like Dizzy in Gears 2 or Kaliso.
