Ghostbusters I had been playing the game for about a half hour when I realized I was at a point in the game where my character was almost surely going to die. If I went down either of the available corridors I would be annihilated by my ghostly foes, and it would be Game Over. Normally I’d get frustrated and throw my controller across the room, but then I saw my life saver, the glowing orb in the corner! I quickly consumed the orb and turned the tables on my would-be attackers. I gobbled up ghosts left and right, leaving nothing but their eyes to run away in defeat…. It was at this point that I realized I was really stoned and playing Pac-Man, so I quickly cleared off my coffee table, put the Atari away, and finally after years of waiting fired up the new Ghostbusters game from Terminal Reality.
But I had waited too long for this game. I had to play. I couldn’t wait to play it! I couldn’t wait to finally become a Ghostbuster and control my own path! The game itself is pure fun. From the obvious highlights like catching ghosts and piling up the
The dialogue and even the character movement itself, is a little slow paced. That may be one of the drawbacks when developers tread the line between movies and action games. This aspect of the game may be barely noticeable to other players because I’m admittedly a very impatient person. In fact this may be the only gripe I have at all with the game play. The slow paced dialogue can be easily overlooked when you let the game envelope you. The
This game will be a staple for any Ghostbusters fan, whether they’re the die hard, rabid fan who dressed up as Venkman on Halloween for the last 12 years, or they’re just a casual fan who can barely remember the words to Ray Parker’s song. This game was well worth the wait and I really can’t recommend it enough. And I haven’t even told you about the twinkie….. Comment on this review |
